Love these picks they're so unique!
There’s something special about playing with these picks… I’ve usually used medium picks as my go to but not been too picky - pun intended - about the gauge.. these hit that sweet spot and I can’t put my finger on what exactly it is but I’m sharing them with my guitar playing friends as I think everybody should give these a try. Definitely buying more. 🤩
These have a dark, flat tone because of the material used. The design is innovative but the material makes it somewhat slippery even with the texture they added. I'm glad it's a small business and I supported them but being honest if they change the texture to be more like Dunlop Tortex is the only way I would buy again. This is a shiny, slippery plastic that does not have great tone
Hello Martin,
Thank you very much for your honest review; I appreciate it a lot!
The material we use is a high-grade granulate manufactured in Italy, chosen by many guitar players during our development phase. The same goes for the textures we use.
While we received about 85% positive feedback, roughly 1 in 6 people preferred other types of materials, such as Tortex. Grip and tone are very subjective qualities and depend significantly on personal preferences, skin type, amount of sweat, playing style, etc. Therefore, we are aware that we cannot satisfy all customers.
At the beginning of 2025, we will launch a new material called CrystalBright, which produces much brighter tones. We created it based on feedback from reviews like yours. So, thank you for that! :) Your honest reviews help us continue improving our products.
I thought my order wasn't going to make it but it did...I'm very happy with the quality!
Love these!
We believe shapes, materials, and textures are completely essential to fully control every chord. Guitar picks can help us achieve this.
When it comes to guitar picks there are four main attributes: thickness, shape, material, and size. These attributes define 80% percent of a guitar pick.
However, the last 20%, contains improvements, and attention to detail, making the playing experience much more comfortable, giving you better results, and a more enjoyable playing experience.
These aspects are essential to get the most out of this guitar accessory.
This grip texture feels great between your fingers
Low friction, increased durability and reduced pick noise
High mechanical strength and stiffness means high durability.
Perfect balance between hold and attack areas. Increases bass tones and control.
Natural hold. The 3D surfaced avoid the turning of the guitar pick.
Designs and colors inspired by nature. Two different surface finishes.
Since 2019, Rombo has been researching surface finish and design in order to find the perfect balance between grip, ergonomics, and function in guitar picks and other guitar accessories.
We are Judith and Carlos. We both love music, guitars, product development, challenges, and attention to detail, so Rombo was the perfect excuse to mix all these things together and have some amazing adventures.
Inside rombo picksEvery guitarist has different preferences. Throughout our development, we have involved as many professional guitarists as possible, and asked them to define how their perfect material should feel.
